Disposal rules are scattered across state databases, county solid-waste departments and facility websites. Each knows part of the answer. We put the pieces in one place, organized by what you have and where you are.

Where the data comes from

Facilities come from official sources in this order of preference: state agencies (CalRecycle, the Department of Toxic Substances Control), county solid-waste departments, city sanitation departments, and the facility operator's own site. Every facility page names its source.

What the labels mean

• Accepted — a source confirms the facility takes it from the public.
• Accepted with conditions — confirmed, but with limits: residents only, quantity caps, extra fees, sorting rules.
• Not accepted — a source confirms they don't take it.
• Not confirmed — we don't know. We never turn "don't know" into "accepted."

What we don't do

We don't guess, and we don't publish a page for a place we have no data for. A wrong answer sends someone 30 miles with a trailer of concrete for nothing.

Limits

Distances are straight-line estimates from the center of town. Hours, fees and policies change without notice. Call before you go.
